Don recorded a short breakdown of each of his five topics. Answer three quick questions and we will point you to the one built for your room.
The other four
Pick the topic. Then Don makes it yours.
No two versions of these talks are the same. Once you select your topic, Don gets on a call with your team, asks about your year, your theme, and your room, and builds around what he hears.
Your theme, woven in
If your year is about shared leadership, or trust, or working as one team, Don threads it through his talk.
Your moment in time
Your event is in October? The World Series is on. Don ties the story to what your people are already talking about.
A segment on your subject
Worried about complacency after a big year? Don finds the right spot and gives it three to five minutes, with a story to match.
Your plan, reviewed
Don makes sure the message fits his position in your program.
The moment your room will not forget
One example, from the Team of Teammates talk. Before the event, your leaders quietly pick three or four unsung people in the audience. The ones who never get the best parking spot, but you could not do it without them. Mid-talk, Don stops, their photos go up on the screen, he reads two sentences about each one, and the whole room stands and cheers.
Those highlighted walk up to Don afterward: “I’ve been here 15 years and no one has ever called my name before in a meeting like this. Thank you.”
